The round wool fiber is covered with scales that are like tiles on each other. Wool takes a lot of slow moisture. This fiber has low tensile strength but high elasticity and shape retention. Wool has a very large heat-insulating properties and is resistant to heat, caustic, chlorine, and a popular food for larvae of the moth and carpet beetle. The resistance to acid, light and mildew is good.
